Post retirement employment allows retired employees, with approval, to work at the University for a limited amount of hours per fiscal year.
Academic positions are restricted to working 960 hours in a fiscal year or 50 percent of the hours the employee was employed during the last fiscal year prior to retirement, whichever is less, for all CalPERS covered employers.
Staff and management positions are restricted to working 960 hours for all CalPERS covered employers in a fiscal year.
