CSU Benefits Vendor Portal

The CSU Benefits Vendor Portal is the central portal for finding CSU - specific benefits information quickly and easily. Each vendor's website was created to help you link to resources you need when you need them.

Eligibility and Enrollment

The deadline for enrolling in health and dental plans is 60 calendar days from date of hire or eligibility. Enrollment in vision and life insurance is automatic for all eligible employees. There currently is no exclusion for preexisting conditions. An open enrollment period for health and dental plans is usually scheduled each year.

Health Plans

A variety of health plans are available. Provisions of Collective Bargaining Agreements may modify the CSU health plan contribution level.

Dependent Benefit Enrollments and Deletions

Family Member Additions, Newborn or Adopted Children, Dependent Children, New Spouse Enrollment, Domestic Partners, Tax Implications, Family Member Deletions

Dental

Delta Dental of California (basic and enhanced) and Delta Care Dental Plan (basic and enhanced) are the dental plans available for participation by eligible employees. Provisions of Collective Bargaining Agreements may modify dental plan benefits.

CSU Vision Plan

An employer-paid Vision Care Plan offered to all eligible employees and their eligible dependents.

Life Insurance Program

A term life insurance and limited accidental death and dismemberment program which includes an accelerated death benefit for terminal illness.

Long-term Care Program

The CalPERS Long-Term Care Program offers long-term care benefits as an option to members. It is not an employer paid benefit and is entirely funded by member premiums. The Program is available to all California public employees, retirees, school teachers, and their spouses, parents, parents-in-law and adult siblings.

COBRA

Federal law requires that employers sponsoring group health plans with more than 20 employees offer their employees and their families the opportunity for a temporary extension of health coverage (called "continuation coverage") at group rates in certain instances where coverage under the plan would otherwise end.
