Employee of the Month

The Employee of the Month Program provides the opportunity for each and every department on campus to select one outstanding employee and recognize and reward his or her exemplary performance.

The program moves from one area to another on a monthly rotation basis. Employees from a specific college or department nominate and vote for co-workers who epitomize standards set forth in the program. HEERA managers are excluded from the nomination process. The chosen individual is honored by having a campus street named after him or her for one month, and meets with President Alexander for a photo opportunity during the special award ceremony. The Employee of the Month also receives various gifts from the University. Photographs taken during the ceremony are published in Inside CSULB with an article about the Employee of the Month.
