A Service Salary Increase (SSI) refers to upward movement within a salary range or sub-range of a classification. SSI adjustments shall be determined by annual contract negotiations between employee bargaining units and the California State University.
In order to be eligible for an SSI, employees must perform at a satisfactory level or higher and their current salary must be below the SSI maximum for their current classification. For the fiscal year 2006/2007, employees who are at the SSI maximum will be eligible for a one-time lump bonus of $1,588 (gross). If an employee receives less than a 1% SSI because the employee reaches the SSI maximum, the employee shall also receive the $1,588 bonus.
For fiscal year 2006/2007 there shall be a one percent (1%) SSI.
For fiscal year 2007/2008 there shall be a one percent (1%) SSI, provided the budgetary conditions in provision 20.5 of the CSU/CSUEU contract for fiscal year 2007/2008 are met.
For fiscal year 2008/2009 there shall be a one percent (1%) SSI, provided the budgetary conditions in provision 20.6 of the CSU/CSUEU contract for fiscal year 2008/2009 are met.
Currently there are no other Bargaining Units eligible for SSI’s.
