Staff Employee Relations is available to consult with management on a number of employee relations related topics, and attend to any training needs or opportunities that may exist. We can address topics such as Effective Discipline, Labor Relations, Addressing Absenteeism and Handling Grievances, as well as develop a training program to fit a department’s specific needs. We encourage employees to use the services of Employee Relations to resolve work-related concerns. Employee Relations staff is available to counsel and advise employees and to investigate employee complaints.
Employee Relations staff is responsible for ensuring consistent interpretation and application of CSULB’s policies, practices, and procedures. Our staff is available to consult with management in connection with work-related problems, including disciplinary matters.
If you wish to discuss a matter with Employee Relations, confidentiality will be maintained to the extent possible and consistent with legal requirements. If the matter involves unlawful conduct or is critical to the interests of the University, an investigation may be necessary. The information gathered may need to be shared on a need-to-know basis.
