Non-Program Copiers
Only members of the Departmental Copier Program (those using a DCP copy machine for which they are paying a per copy charge to the DCP) may order the "no-charge" copy supplies for their machines. These supplies are not available to non-members for two reasons: The stock on hand is calculated using the known Copier Program copy volumes and cannot be expected to cover unknown demands, and the "no-charge" supplies are a benefit to those who are Program members.
Departments who are not members of the DCP, but have their own copy machine (via donation, etc.) may request to join the Program. They must put this request in writing to the DCP Office. Their request will be analyzed to judge the cost-effectiveness of their inclusion. If the request is approved, the ownership of the copy machine must be signed over to the Departmental Copier Program, as it will become part of the Copier Program. There may be an understanding that the initial copier remain in that department as long as it is desired.
