Personally Owned Equipment

The University is not responsible for personally owned equipment. The PMO recommends removing personally owned equipment from campus. For personal equipment that is on campus, the PMO recommends the following precautions:

  • mark the equipment for identification of ownership;
  • maintain original documents of purchase;
  • obtain written approval from appropriate administrator prior to bringing the equipment on campus; and
  • notify the University Police Department upon loss or theft.
