Information Technology Services provides employee email services, which includes personal and resource calendaring, contacts, tasks, and notes.

To obtain the @csulb email service, you must be a current employee. For student email service, visit BeachMail.

Using Your Email

Supported Desktop Email Applications

  • Windows - Outlook 2010, 2013, 2016
  • Mac - Outlook for Mac 2011, Outlook for Mac 2016
  • Outlook Web Access (OWA)

Access to @csulb Email

  • On your University computer:
    1. For PC (Windows 7, 8.1 and 10) use Outlook 2013 or 2016
    2. For Mac use Outlook for Mac 2011 or Outlook for Mac 2016
  • On the Web: With any common Web browser use Outlook Web Access (OWA) to obtain full feature access to email, contacts, tasks, public folders and calendaring at
  • On a Mobile Device: Retrieve messages using a supported mobile device.

Anti-Spam Email Services

CSULB uses a variety of mechanisms to protect the campus and its employees from email spam and viruses. In-coming and out-going campus email is scanned for potential threats using security appliances.

Where to get Help

Costs and Charges

There is no charge for staff and faculty State employees. There is a nominal fee of $2 for auxiliary employee accounts paid by the auxiliary department.
