Web Application Development Services

Any web page that uses a custom interface to provide data to a user can be considered a web application. Web applications can be as simple as a web form or as complex as a multi-user calendaring system that maintains data in a database and can be used to track important workflow information.
Requesting a web application from the Web Development Center (WDC):

  1. Complete the WDC Project Outline Form.
  2. Open a  service request found on the WDC website (link)and attach the completed Project Outline Form to the request.

Development begins with an introductory meeting between the customer and the WDC.  The project requirements are developed and agreed to by both parties.
The following is a list of programs that have been developed by the WDC:

  • Rideshare Application
  • Faculty and Staff Directory Lookup
  • Rental Finder
  • Training Calendar

The WDC uses the following tools for application development:

  • LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP)
  • Javascript, AJAX
  • Third party browser plug-ins
  • HTML5 and CSS3
  • Adobe Master Collection
