How do I change my password in Lotus Notes?
You can set a
password or change an existing password at any time.
1. Select
File - Security - User Security.
2. Click Security Basics, and then select the Change
Password button under "Your Login and
Password Settings."

3. You will be prompted to type in your current password
and then click OK.

4. In the "Change Password" dialog box, type a
new password in the "Enter new password" field,
and then type it again in the "Re-enter new password" field.
Note: Your new password must differ from
the past 50 passwords you have used in the past before
you can reuse an
old password. For example, if you had set your password
to "Hello" at
one time, and the dialog box states that your new
password must differ from your last 4 passwords, you would
have to
use 4 new passwords before you could reuse "Hello" again.
5. Click OK.
CAUTION: DO NOT FORGET YOUR PASSWORD. If you forget your
password, you will need to contact your Technical
Coordinator. It cannot be reset by the Notes Administrator.
Why can’t I print?
To print from Notes, choose File - Print; Notes displays
the name of the selected printer. To select a different
printer, click the drop-down arrow to the right of the
printer name. Any printer installed on your workstation
will be available through Lotus Notes.

Other reasons you may have difficulty printing could
be that your network is down, the printer is out of paper
or toner,
the printer is jammed, or the printer driver you installed
is not the correct one for the selected printer.
Another reason is that the user may have selected the
Delivery Options: Prevent Copying.
How do I prevent recipients
from copying or printing a message?
You can prevent recipients from copying a message that
you send. This includes copying with the clipboard,
forwarding, creating a Reply with History, and printing.
1. While creating the message, click the Delivery
Options action button.
2. Click the Prevent copying checkbox.

3. How do I create a Select any other desired delivery
options.
4. Click OK.
Note This setting is merely a deterrent to copying. Recipients
can still use other means to copy the message.
Mailing list in my Personal Address Book?
If you frequently send messages to the same group of people,
you can create a mailing list to make it easier to
address messages to the group. Instead of addressing the
message
to each person individually, you can address the message
to the name you give the mailing list. You create the
mailing list in your Personal Address Book.
1. Open your Personal Address Book.
2. Select the New – Group action button.
3. In the "Group name" field, type a name for
the group.
4. (Optional) In the Category field, type a category
name or select from the dialog list provided.
5. (Optional) In the Description field, type a description
of the group.
6. In the Members field, type the names of the group
members. After each name, type a comma or press ENTER.
If the members
are in an existing address book (Personal, Public or
Campus) use the down arrow to display the address book
dialog box
for easier selection of names.

7. Select Save & Close to save the document.
8. Close your Personal Address Book.

How do I add a person to my Personal Address Book from an
email message I received?
You can easily create a Person document in your Personal
Address Book for anybody who sends you a message.
1. While reading a message or while its title is highlighted
in the view pane
a. Using the Tools action button, select Add Sender to Address
Book
b. Using the Actions menu select Tools - Add
Sender to Address Book.
2. You will be prompted with the “Add Sender to
Address Book” dialog box, click OK.

Tip You can select multiple messages in the view pane using
the selection margin and add their authors to your Personal
Address Book simultaneously.
What is Unified Messaging
or www.Messenger?
Unified Messaging, also known as www.Messenger is the phone
icon on the bookmark bar. The icon enables the Lotus Notes
user to retrieve fax/phone messages using their computer
soundcard. Although the feature is not an additional cost,
it must be requested on the Telecommunications work order.
