VPN Service

VPN, or Virtual Private Network, is a system that allows an organization to access internal networks and computers over the Internet, using encrypted tunnels to ensure that data cannot be accessed without authorization.

Obtaining VPN Service

Campus employees and approved non-employees can visit the https://vpn.csulb.edu page and download and install the VPN software to computers or laptops. Non-employees may obtain VPN-access approval by having campus sponsors submit a Remote Access Request Form. Typically, sponsorship requires signed approval from the department's ASM or Director and Technical Coordinator.

Before downloading and installing VPN software, print the VPN Self-Help Guide for reference. See the Technical Details section of this page for more information.

If your department Technical Coordinator is not able to assist, please contact ITS Desktop Support at ext. 58344 or its.dsg@notesmail.csulb.edu.

  • Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit)
  • Macintosh OSX 10.5 (Leopard)
