SECTION 25915 of the Health and Safety Code requires that a written notification be provided to employees informing them of the presence of asbestos in buildings.

The Environmental Health and Occupational Safety Program at California State University , Long Beach serves to assist in the protection of faculty, staff, students and visitors by providing advice and guidance to university managers and supervisors to assist them in their responsibilities to actively engage in the protection of the health and safety of their employees.

The office of Environmental Health and Safety has developed the following written CSU Long Beach Programs and Plans to assist university managers and supervisors in understanding their responsibilities under Federal, State, and local regulations.
