Facilities Management employs a computer based preventive maintenance program. Preventive maintenance is periodic, scheduled work to provide adjustments, cleaning, minor repairs, and routine inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure a good serviceable condition and reduce interruptions of service. This maintenance is provided on a planned, scheduled basis.

The Emergency Operations Plan is the campus guide for disaster response. The Plan provides the emergency management staff with guidelines to deal with emergency situations involving the University. The procedures outlined in this Plan shall be implemented under the management of the Emergency Operations Executive. The Plan should be placed into operation whenever an emergency affecting the campus cannot be controlled through normal procedures. The Emergency Operations Executive must approve exceptions or changes to this Plan.
