Cans & Bottles

The unique black and silver pyramid barrels for can and bottle recycling on the campus grounds are serviced regularly by the Associated Students Recycling Center. To report a full barrel that needs collection, contact ASI Recycling at 562-985-5461.

Facilities Management provides can & bottle recycling inside many building classrooms or hallways with black plastic boxes that are serviced by the custodial staff on a regular basis. To report a full box that needs collection, email Facilities Management or call
562-985-4357.

Californians bought more than 21.9 billion drinks in aluminum, glass, plastic and bi-metal containers in 2007. More than 14.7 billion of those cans and bottleswere recycled, saving natural resources, conserving energy and extending the life of our landfills. That's a recycling rate of 67% . Now let's get working on the other 33%!
