Sustainability is commonly defined as meeting our current needs without compromising the abilities of future generation to meet their own needs. This definition accepts the fact that Earth’s natural resources are finite and our actions today to preserve and make wise use of these resources will have lasting implications for future generations. CSULB is dedicated to preserving the environment and reducing our reliance on fossil based fuels. Physical Planning and Facilities Management is committed to sustainable development and environmental stewardship. By incorporating sustainable practices in our day to day operations, we have the ability to significantly reduce the negative environmental impact of buildings that we maintain and operate. This places us in a unique position to make a significant impact in bringing about Sustainability to CSULB.
