Electronic Marquee
A premier feature available to publicize campus events.
University Filming
A filming permit is required for filming on California State University Long Beach campus. Filming permits are issued for commercial filming or photography. The filming permit is coordinated by the Parking & Access Services: Campus Events Office and enforced by the University Police Department.
Student Filming
CSULB film students must get a filming permit from this Office prior to filming on any campus locations. Campus Events Office coordinates this with University Police, Parking, Safety and Risk Management and Facilities Management.
General Facilities "3rd Party Licensing" Inquiry
Campus Events Office facilitates 3rd party leasing of class rooms and lecture hall rentals. Rentals are subject to availability. Initial request is directly submitted to this office. A search for rooms will be conducted and the availability will be notified to the requester within two to four working days from the initial request.
Following are the options for parking:
- Pre-pay & Pick up Permits @ the main Parking Office
- Self-Park @ yellow dispenser, our daily permit rate is $4.00
- For concurrent events: Participants may have to pay patron charge of $5.00
Unassigned Space
Campus Events Office acts as a liaison for reporting all events that takes place in such areas that are not venue owned such as lawns, central plant, speakers platform, etc. Venue owned areas include University Student Union, Pyramid, Japanese Garden, Carpenter Performance Art Center, etc. This service is for campus groups ONLY. These events are posted in Integrated Facilities Information System for notification to support services such as Parking & Access Services, University Police, Safety & Risk Management and Facilities Management. No rental fees for most unassigned campus facilities. Charges may be assessed by support service providers. Liability insurance generally not required.
