Accessible Parking

Accessible parking space locations are noted on the campus map. Hold your cursor over each lot to see the number of accessible parking spaces located in each lot.

CSULB Faculty, Staff and Students

All disabled faculty, staff and students parking with a DMV issued Disabled Persons (DP) placard or distinguishing license plate must display a valid CSULB parking permit at all times when parking in a disabled or paid short-term parking stall.

Disabled students parking with a DMV-issued Disabled Persons (DP) placard or distinguishing license plate must also display a valid CSULB student parking permit at all times when parking in a disabled or paid short-term parking stall. Disabled students are not allowed to park in employee spaces. Title 5 Article 7 42200(a) (1) California Code of Regulations.

Parking permits may be obtained at the Cashier’s Office during regular business hours Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., or from a parking pay station. Students requesting individual parking accommodations should contact Disabled Student Services at (562) 985-5401 or DSS@csulb.edu.

Visitors

A disabled person or disabled veteran visiting campus is allowed to park in any paid short-term parking stall without payment as long as they have a valid DMV issued Disabled Persons placard or distinguishing license plate displayed. Disabled visitors are not allowed to park in employee spaces.

Disabled visitors may park in general spaces and disabled parking spaces if they purchase the required daily parking along with their placard or plate, or visit to the Visitor Information Center (VIC) during normal business hours to obtain a permit at no charge. A valid CSULB virtual permit is required at all times when parking on campus including disabled stalls. California Vehicle Code 22511.5.

Disabled visitors may visit the Visitor Information Center (VIC) Mon.-Fri., 7 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sat.-Sun., 9 a.m.-2 p.m. for additional parking information.

Visitors during Special Events

Disabled visitors are required to pay the requisite parking fee when attending special events, provided Parking and Transportation Services has taken control of the parking lot for event facilitation and services. Title 5 Article 7 42200(a)(1) and Subsection 42201(a) California Code of Regulations. Disabled visitors must display a Disabled Persons placard or license plate in conjunction with the valid CSULB paid parking. Parking may be purchased through the event parking staff controlling the lot or from a parking pay station.
