The Police Substation is at the University Student Union on the second floor - outside level.
Dial 9-1-1 for Police, Fire, or Medical Emergencies. Contact the University Police by dialing (562) 985-4101 or use any Code Blue telephone, or public pay telephone.
Call (562) 985-4101 to request an escort to the Residential Halls, Library, study lab or the parking lots. Use one of the Code Blue telephones if a public pay phone or private phone is not available.
The LiveScan hours are 1-4 PM, Monday-Thursday, at the main station located at the south end of lot 11C. Cost is $20 + DOJ fees, cash, check or money order. Reservations are not accepted.
Seminars on sexual assault prevention, date rape and date rape drugs, drug and alcohol policies, sexual harassment and high pressure religious groups are presented each semester.

CSU police Officers are sworn law enforcement officers under California Penal Code, Section 830.2 and in compliance with state statute, meet the peace officer standards and training requirements mandatory for all California law enforcement officers. These sections give these law enforcement officers their authority to arrest. In addition, CSU Police officers undergo training specially designed to meet the needs and problems of a contemporary university community. All University Police Officers receive training on tolerance and diversity to better serve our diverse ethnic population. The University Police Department has a written agreement with the Long Beach Police Department which defines and details operational authority pursuant to Kristin Smart Campus Safety Act of 1998, SB 1729.
