Public Safety Information

The Cal State Long Beach Police Department is warning the campus community of the following attacks and is urging anyone with any information to contact Campus Police immediately at 562-985-4101, or to our Crime Tip Line at 562-986-5131.

  • Saturday, October 21st, 2006, at about 2:30am SUSPECT: Male; tanned to light brown skin tone; dark eyes; 6'0"+, very tall; Pudgy; wearing black beanie/ski mask; black hooded sweatshirt; Black Belt, heavy metal style buckle, and silver studs. The suspect grabbed the female student/survivor and pulled her from Earl Warren Drive towards the pathway adjacent to the flood control near the Parkside dorms. He forced her to the ground and sexually assaulted her, and then fled in an unknown direction.

  • Wednesday, November 8th, 2006, at about 10:15pm SUSPECT: White Male; Late 20's to early 30's; 5'6" to 5'10"; thin build; light, colored hair w/buzz cut; teal colored shirt, and wearing only Women's Panty Hose on his lower torso. A female student was walking northbound on the PE Access road approaching the Music Access road when she was grabbed from behind and pulled back towards the tree line. The survivor started screaming and fought off the suspect, who let her go and ran in an unknown direction.

  • Sunday, November 12th, 2006, at about 8:20pm SUSPECT: Dark skinned male, possibly Hispanic; medium build; dark hair; about 6'0"; dark, upper garment with dark "Dickies" style pants. A female visiting a student friend was walking from the meters at the south turn, across the grass, towards the fountain area, when the suspect grabbed her from behind. He tried to pull her into the trees, but she fought him off and was able to escape.
