How to read results in the
pbviews "Overall Performance" Internet Book
Instructions for Opening and Navigating the Internet Results Book
- Go to the Scorecard Results page for the latest quarter.
- Click on the book icon or the Overall Performance link.
- Click on desired tab on the left side of the book
Navigating Measures:

Click on underlined measure to view dashboard on that measure

Click left arrows to drill down by measure

Click right arrows to drill down by location

Understanding dashboard – Measure Details

Description = definition of measure
-
Data Table = actual data for last four quarters and period consolidation information

Info = information about measure
-
Data Chart = actual data for last four quarters charted
-
arrow on right indicates polarity (high numbers are good or bad)
-
Y axis indicates unit (e.g. percentage, days, hours, etc)

X axis is time (last four quarters)

Click "Back to Section" to return to previous book section

Key Terms for Understanding Results
- Unit
- measurement type, e.g. days, hours, percentage, number
- Actual
- data calculated from data entered by manager and consolidation range
- Target
- goal set by manager for measure
- Index
- percent of target, e.g. if actual = target, index is 100% of target; if actuals are short of target by 20%, index is 80% of target
- Consolidation range
- period of time measure is accumulated or averaged
- Default (Avg) – measure is not averaged/accumulated across quarters
- This year to date – measure is averaged or accumulated for fiscal year to date
- Moving year – measure is averaged or accumulated for previous 4 quarters
- Period Only Data
- data entered that period
- Polarity
- whether high numbers are good or bad
- Measure Type
- measure category, e.g. data, formula, group
- Data measure – contains no submeasures
- Group measure – is calculated based on submeasure indexes
- Formula measure – is calculated through a preset formula using submeasures
