The CSU Quality Improvement Program recently awarded Gary Pons and four of his counterparts from CSU Los Angeles, Fullerton, and San Marcos with the 2009 QI Team of the Year award. This team developed a systemwide survey for Environmental Health and Safety Offices to foster a culture of quality improvement and customer satisfaction. The survey was used for the first time in spring 2008 by eight campuses and is becoming a tool for identifying best practices and encouraging more collaboration among CSU campuses.
Gary is the current Assistant Director of Environmental Health and Safety here on campus.
